Subscriptions Submissions Current Issue Back Issues Reviews |
The primary aim of this site is to introduce and attract new readers and writers to the print-based journal Tremblestone. It is international in outlook and publishes contemporary poetry. It has been publishing poetry from across a broad spectrum of alternative poetries ever since the first issue was launched in November 1999, following in the proud footsteps of magazines such as Oasis, Shearsman and Terrible Work. As a magazine Tremblestone is open to surprise and open to differences. The poetry currently on this site is a selection taken from current and past issues and hopefully will speak more eloquently of my editorial tastes (to date that is) than my ramblings ever could. The first four issues of the magazine published the work of forty seven poets including Josephine Ebert, Helen Foster, Rupert Loydell, Louise Minton, Andrew Nightingale and Ian Robinson. The Current Issue of Tremblestone (Number Five) was
published in July 2006 and features the work of 17 poets: Also in this issue Harry Guest Reviews Peter Redgrove: Sheen (Stride) and Martin Anderson Reviews Kelvin Corcoran: New And Selected Poems (Shearsman) A selection of poems from the current issue of the mag. can be read by clicking on the Current Issue page of the site. If you want to purchase this issue or subscribe to the magazine then open the Subscription page. Tremblestone is currently seeking submissions of poetry and prose poetry for Issue Number Six.
